Overland Park Soccer Club executive board is tremendously pleased to announce that we have entered into a partnership with KC Comets Select Soccer Club.

This will provide KC Comets Select a feeder program consisting of the 1000 recreational players who participate in the OPSC program. Clint Boger, Executive Director for KC Comets Select expressed that the two clubs came to an agreement after great work has been done together over the past year.

An academy program was established in 2006 between the two clubs and continues today for all rec U6-U9 players. The goal is to develop proper skills for players at an early age and to make the game of soccer fun. Coaches training is also a key element of this academy program. OPSC is proud to say that there are no additional costs to players and coaches for this program – just learning. Nate Houser, OPSC Coaching Director has been working directly with the KC Comets this past year to develop this academy program and says that next years program is going to be even better.

With this new affiliation OPSC will be able to develop more ways for players, coaches and referees to learn and enjoy the game of soccer
